Job Purpose:
We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide compassionate and reliable assistance in nursing homes and supported living settings. The ideal candidates will possess the necessary skills, training, and attitude to promote the well-being and independence of residents while maintaining a safe and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care and support to residents in nursing homes and supported living settings.
- Foster a compassionate and non-judgmental environment that upholds residents’ dignity and respect
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to implement care plans and enrich residents’ lives.
- Assist residents with daily activities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Exhibit flexibility to adapt to changing resident requirements and varying work schedules.
- Demonstrate resilience when facing challenges and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Maintain a high level of attentiveness to residents’ needs and well-being.
- Document patient interactions, progress, and any relevant observations accurately.
- Document observations, interactions, and progress accurately and comprehensively.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Support Worker is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must have up-to-date healthcare training.
- Willingness to attend a training program if not already certified.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to residents’ diverse needs.
- Non-judgmental attitude when interacting with individuals from different backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to residents’ routines.
- Resilience in handling varying challenges and maintaining composure.
- Attentive and detail-oriented in providing personalised care.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
Desirable Skills:
- Possession of a personal vehicle.
- Full UK driver’s license or international driver’s license.
- Ability to commute to different parts of the West Midlands.
